When Coronavirus hit in March, Chris and I were going a little stir crazy and randomly decided to start a vegetable garden. Despite the fact that we kill everything we try to grow (no matter how easy people tell us they are to grow!), we figured since we are going to be home everyday we would have little else to do but tend to the garden.
So we built a few raised beds, bought some starter plants and crossed our fingers!
We decided to plant tomatoes (3 varieties), peppers (3 varieties), spinach, romaine, cucumbers, strawberries, cilantro, parsley, rosemary, dill, and basil. We planted about 6 or 7 weeks ago and everything is doing pretty good so far. We have already harvested a ton of romaine, spinach and herbs, and we are waiting on a ton of tomatoes to ripen, along with a few peppers and cucumbers! I have been so surprised to find how satisfying it is to grow your own food. I definitely want to expand on our garden in the future.
